Ever wonder how a club like ours works? It's led by a Board of Directors that meets once a month throughout the year-sometimes more often if needed.

Here's what some of our responsibilities include.

Responsibilities of the Vice President

The Vice President (VP) should be the vehicle by which the Board of Directors directs the activities of the Mountain Manager and his staff. Conversely, the VP should act as a conduit for operations staff to communicate with the Board of Directors. The VP should act as a resource in assisting the Mountain Manager.

q       Assume the duties of President in his absence

q       Supervise and assist the Mountain Manager

q       Negotiate the Mountain Manager’s contract to be reviewed each May.

q       Assist Mountain Manager with seasonal hiring

q       Act as liaison between Board of Directors and Mountain Manager & his staff

q       Coordinate with Mountain Manager proper training and orientation of seasonal employees

q       Monitor snowmaking and grooming operations to ensure a quality snow surface product

q       Prepare Operations Budget

q       Establish pricing for passes and services with the assistance of Ski School Director

q       Arrange police coverage with Blandford Chief or State Police as needed

q       Ensure radio licenses, radio and pager and security maintenance agreements are up to date and posted as required by law
