Responsibilities of the Marketing Director
q
Promote
our Club and ski area as fun, family oriented winter recreation via print &
electronic media and any other viable means in our marketing area with the
primary goal of growing our membership base
q
Work as a
close partner with the Membership Director in pursuing your goals
q
Communicate with Club membership via the Blandford Bulletin Newsletter (fall
& spring) and web site at
www.skiblandford.org.
q
Collect
appropriate information from all directors for publication in above
q
Maintain
Club web site, answer general marketing info Emails and forward others to
appropriate parties
q
Prepare
marketing plan and associated budget
q
Working
with Membership Director and Office Manager, maintain current mailing list
q
Review,
update and print and distribute brochures as needed
q
Generate
and distribute press releases when appropriate
q
Update
snow-phone, NESAC and web site with daily conditions
q
Be
prepared to work with and/or answer questions from the media
q
Collect
“fishbowl” names and add to the mailing list
q
Purchase
promotional materials within your budget that will keep the Springfield Ski
Club and the Blandford Ski Area in the eyes of potential customers
q
Negotiate
trade opportunities with advertising outlets (radio, public TV, etc)
q
Take
advantage of any trade opportunities that would give us exposure at little
or no cash cost to the Club
q
Measure,
whenever possible, the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
